Phaius Orchid, also known as Nuns Orchid originated in Asia and Islands in the Pacific. The plant was first brought back to England from China from John Fothergill in 1778. A woman named Emma Tankerville was the first person to get the Orchid to flower, and it was the first tropical Orchid to ever flower in England.
